  Be careful! This metro station has two entries, one going south to Laurentina, the other one going northeast to Termini and further. By choosing the steps downward you decide upon the direction of the metro and you cannot correct it in the metro station. If you chose the wrong stairs, you must leave the metro station, cross the street and enter the metro again. This is the nearest metro to the Baths of Caracalla. You have a grest view on the Palatin.

  An ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium, it was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome, and now it's a public park. It's a pity that there's not much remaining of the ancient building, but it's enough to admire the great Roman engineering.
