  The apartment is situated just next to the Carabinieri Station, and close by nice restaurants in Trastevere. At first sight it looks just like the right place to stay for the convenient location, the photos showed a very clean and comfortable site, and for the advertised amenities like, wi-fi, air conditioning, etc. Unfortunately, the reality was other, and we were very disappointed. When we asked how to control the air conditioner we where told that the apartment was very cool, but Alex (in a hurry) gave us an explanation of how to turn the air conditioning on and set the temperature control. He left, and the air conditioning never turned on. The apartment is located on a busy street, and is located right next to a parking (garage) that has a heavy metal door that was constantly in use throughout the night, it was so noisy during the night that it was impossible to sleep with the window open. We called our host to have him fix the air conditioning situation and only then we where told that it was a central a/c, and that it could only be turned on by the owner, and that we have to wait to the next day, still insisting that “fortunately” the apartment was very cool, when it really wasn’t and it was very warm in Rome and had already been for some days. The next day he came up with another story, Alex told us that the owner agreed to turn on the a/c but during the day, but just to refresh the apartment. Finally, we convinced him that we needed the a/c to keep the noise down and to cool down the apartment… was it too much to ask for a good night’s sleep, and to get what you pay for? Finally they turned the a/c on from 10pm to 4am, still arguing that the apartment was very “cool” although we repeatedly told him that it was not. This was not a communication problem. One of us speaks fluent Italian, having lived in Perugia for more than 40 years. Dear Garibaldy Suite owner, we are the client, and we decide if the place is or is not “cool”, we are entitled to decide if we use the a/c or not, because we paid for that convenience. Please don’t advertise things that are you are not willing, or simply will not provide. Your attitude was disconsiderate and patronizing. In addition, don’t forget that the bathroom needs to be cleaned urgently, the toilet has grime stains that makes it very repulsive. This is not a cheap apartment, as a matter of fact it was more expensive than any other we rented during our stay, and the least that we expected was the decency of getting the value that we had paid for, a clean, quiet apartment, with a functional air conditioning system.
